Born in the
neighborhood of Barracas, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he graduates at
the Colegio Cardenal Cisneros (Cardinal Cisneros College) and then takes
up Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires.
At the same time he studies music (guitar) with well-known private
teachers and produces clothing designs.
From his early childhood he is acquainted with plastic arts, drawing and
painting at the studio belonging to his father, the plastic artist
Eduardo Mac Entyre.
In 1997 he makes up his mind to devote himself exclusively to painting.
That same year he is chosen out of 1280 participants for the First
Concurso Internacional ( First Tango International Contest), a mega
exhibition taking place at the National Salon of the Palais de Glace,
together with other 49 painters.
Part of his work is related to the dancers of the tango (music
originated in Buenos Aires) allowing to express his liking for shapes
and movement.
In these paintings he uses certain soft-shaded colors in his palette;
makes the woman’s curves and the man’s straight lines stand out and also
uses backgrounds, diagonals, transparencies, lights and some particular
poses to be able to transmit the rhythm, sensuality and melancholy
existing in this dance.
In his latest works he sums up lines and planes which go along with a
more abstract figure generating a feeling of movement and rhythm. Apart
from having worked in still life and abstractions, he has also painted
imaginary landscapes whose starting point is a spot that continually
suggests new forms of expression to the artist until he finally
accomplishes the resolution of his work.
Out of his natural eagerness and his needs for discovering different
techniques and themes, as well as finding new materials or means to
achieve his work, the artist silently tries to obey his own internal
feelings, always searching for true ways of expression according to his
temperament and skills. Undoubtedly, that makes him an artist who is led
by his own sensitivity and demands instead of just looking for the final
result.
